As longstanding partners of BloomLocal we are proud members of the local community and are happy to provide the finest hand cut flowers to both visitors and residents of the island. All of our flowers are delivered directly from the shop, in water to ensure they stay as fresh as when they were cut, so there are no flower boxes and no extra packaging. Our local florists are passionate not only about fresh flowers, but about the environment too. By using only the finest ethically sourced, sustainable flowers, and employing local staff, they can be certain that all deliveries will arrive in perfect condition, on time and with the least possible negative impact on the environment. Not only is it good for the world, it is better for customers as they get the fresh flowers they ordered, not tired flowers couriered from a central warehouse. It is one of the main benefits of using a BloomLocal florist, expertise, local knowledge and environmental responsibility.  Summer Lilly’s specialise in providing wedding flowers and funeral bouquets, although we also have a selection of fresh hand cut flowers suitable for any occasion. We love nothing more than working with our customers to create a unique floral arrangement that express their feelings. By offering same day delivery throughout the Isle of Wight we are confident that our customers will be more than satisfied.

WHAT ABOUT THE ISLE OF WIGHT?

Lying in the English Channel, separated from Hampshire by the Solent, the Isle of Wight is the second most populous yet largest island in the UK. Renowned for its coastal scenery, mild climate and verdant scenery, it has been a popular holiday destination since Victorian times. Although this popularity led to increased urban development on the island, it retains much of its rural charm and has well preserved wildlife and its cliffs and quarries are some of the richest for fossils in the whole of Europe. To acknowledge this fact the Isle of Wight became a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2019. As an island there is a long maritime tradition of boat building and sail making here. One thing about traditions is that they evolve, and with the help of our local florists we have created a short list of things to do, places to visit and favourite local restaurants, some of which are sure to become traditions.
